As a family, we try and raise money for various Children's Charities throughout the year. There are two main Childrens charities that we support, Hope House Childrens Hospice and Re Ya Gola

Hope House care for babies, children, young people and young adults up to the age of 25 years who have life-threatening conditions and are not expected to live beyond 25 years of age.

They also offer counselling and bereavement support to any family living in their area who have suffered the death of a child in any circumstance. Our help is available to children and families living in Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid and North Wales. Since 2011 and with the kind support of the pantomime audiences at Theatre Severn we have donated over £56,000 to Hope House in support of the amazing work they do.

In 2019 we were approached by a family friend to help support a Camp in South Africa run by a remarkable lady called Lillian Sebeela, known to everyone as 'Ma Lillian'.

Ma Lillian started the Re Ya Kgola charity in 2003 from her own home and garage. Today she provides support to approximately 320 single mothers and orphaned children. In addition to this, approximately 125 pensioners attend the centre three times a week for a hot meal, many being unable to either afford or cook for themselves.

The charity provides blankets, food parcels, sanitary items for schoolgirls and shelter to the neediest in their community as well as assisting in enrolling the children into schools, many of them without the basic paperwork required such as birth certificates. We helped to provide Christmas gifts to 147 children in a camp just outside Pretoria, South Africa.

The pandemic hit everyone hard but none more so than those that rely on Ma Lillian, to date we have raised over £10,450 to support the most in need.
