For the past four years Brad has written and directed the annual Christmas Pantomime at the Cambridge Arts Theatre. In the 2007/08 season he made his debut as an ugly sister and has already started to write this years production of Jack and The Beanstalk.
This year Brad will be starring as Dame Violet Trott.
Brad trained in stage management at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School graduating in 1997. As a Company Stage Manager he worked on many different shows, most notably The Mikado, Twelfth Night, Side by Side by Sondheim, Tartuffe, Sleuth, Honk!, The Woman in Black, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Bear in the Big Blue House, Playhouse Disney Live!, Roald Dahl’s The Witches, Les Liaisons Dangereuses and The Glory of Gershwin with the late Larry Adler.
His work has taken him to Reykjavik, Iceland with a play about fish filleters and to a converted synagogue in Minsk, Belarus with Miriam Margolyes and her play Dickens Women.
In the West End, Brad has worked on Simon Callow’s The Mystery of Charles Dickens, The Graduate with Jerry Hall, Boyband, Lenny with Eddie Izzard, The Madness of George Dubya, Simply Heavenly and Amadeus.
He is General Manager to Creative Producer Andrew Empson and In 2003 was based in Milwaukee, USA at Harley-Davidson Motorcycles headquarters where alongside Andrew he was Associate Producer for the company’s 100th birthday celebration concert. The concert was held on the worlds largest ever purpose built stage on the shores of Lake Michigan for 250,000 spectators and starred Kid Rock, The Doobie Brothers, Tim McGraw, Dan Ackroyd and Elton John. Other notable projects with Andrew Empson have included Andrews version of Jonathan Larsons RENT which played at Londons Duke Of Yorks Theatre and Carnivale, a stunning multi media and live action show currently playing at a purpose built theatrical venue in Venice.
